Gratitude is the appreciation of what is valuable and meaningful to oneself. Experiencing gratitude, thankfulness, and appreciation tends to foster positive feelings, which in turn, contribute to one’s overall sense of well being.

Wellness is not just made up of your weight and image. Wellness comprises your mental health, physical, and spiritual health.

Wellness also includes how you feel about yourself. Are you practicing self-care or burning yourself out trying to be Superwoman 🦸🏽‍♀️ for everyone else?

It’s time to take the cape off for once and think about where you are in your wellness journey.

Did you know that people who spend more time experiencing gratitude spend less time experiencing aches and pains and going to doctors.

Think about what you are grateful for while thinking of ☝🏾 way to improve your overall wellness.

Spend some time reflecting on them.⠀

The holiday season is the best time to get together share food, fun, laughs and create memories with friends and family. This is something to be grateful for.⠀

Although this pandemic is placing restrictions on our normal gatherings, be creative in connecting. Whether through phone calls , Zooms, FaceTime or drive by’s, use creative ways to reach out to those you love. ⠀

Holiday time is also a good times to remember loved ones that you have lost and be grateful for all the awesome memories you have shared.⠀

Who Is In Your Circle?

How you spend your time is very important, but what’s even more important is who you surround yourself with.

Take a moment to analyze your circle and ask yourself self these questions:

Do they motivate you?

Can you learn from them?

Do they inspire you?

If you’ve answered “no” to any of these questions, then it’s time to up- level your circle of influence and it may be time to separate yourself from your current circle.

Stop being the smartest person in your clique and look to connect with people that can make you smarter.

It is common to outgrow your current circle but you can continue to love them from a distance as you are working on your next level.

Find yourself a mentor and folks that are 5 steps or more ahead of you and learn from them.

It took me taking a leap of faith by moving to another state and changing my entire circle in order to expose me to a whole different level of thinking and living.

Not everyone can be apart of your journey 💙 but you can certainly be intentional on who you journey with!

Three Ways to Overcome Negative Emotions.

Are your emotions  leading you down the wrong path and affecting your decision-making?

Do you keep questioning yourself  ….”Should I start a business”, “Do I know enough people?”, “Can I be successful?”⠀

Here are three ways to help you win over your negative emotions:⠀⠀

  1.  Remember the beliefs and values you’re committed to. Know what you believe in and your values. Tap into your spiritual connection through prayer, and meditation. Use these actions as a means to reverse negative thoughts and emotions⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  2. Stick to your committed beliefs and values and to overcome your negative emotions . Don’t steer away from your beliefs and values when your negative emotions start to kick in. Create an affirmation that you can repeat whenever negative emotions start to kick in. This can help you increase self-belief and to remain committed and consistent when overcoming negative emotions   ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  3. Surround yourself around positive people. Contact your mentor, coach or like-minded friend, or even think about changing your environment. Go for a walk, workout, yoga etc., These are a few ways you can change your state and become more positive.
    Your emotions will destroy your piece of kind, cloud your judgement and your ability to make decisions, especially negative emotions.

Don’t let negative emotions define your life and business. Live life by your commitments and not your feelings!

Hi I can remember a time when I was struggling to consistently build my side
business while working full-time.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I had every excuse, I’m tired, my family needs me, I don’t feel like it, I don’t have enough time etc. At the end of the year I realized so much time had passed and I was not a productive as I could have been.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I had to seriously reflect and make a decision. Either I would continue to make excuses or I can operate in my purpose. When I made the decision that I would no longer make excuses that was when my business changed drastically!

One thing I did to maximize productivity and consistency waste create non-negotiable time in my daily schedule just for business building. This helped me to overcome my “ I don’t have time” excuse.

How are you doing?

I know it’s been a while since I reached out but just know that it’s all for a good cause. I am a frontline worker in the hospital 5 days a week preparing and battling this Covid-19 pandemic.

One thing I have come to realize is that God surely has a way of humbling you and making you slow down. It’s safe to say that this Pandemic has put a whole lot of things into perspective for me.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am certainly resting more, praying more than ever, creatively spending more time with family, appreciating conversations over text messages,
staying productive and remaining grateful.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is definitely a time to reflect on the things that matter most, re-strategize on how you can be your best and use this time to create an intentional plan to launch that dream you’ve always wanted to pursue.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Of course with every new year there are resolutions, goals, vision boards etc., but one thing I make sure to establish each year along with all the others is my ONE word.


Your ONE word will help to give you clarity and help you to focus on your overall being. It sets the tone for the year, your path and your results. Your ONE word helps to determine how you want to show up for the year.


Last year my word was consistency and with this I saw my non- profit grow in a direction I never imagined because I was consistent with what I wanted to manifest with it.


I was also consistent because not only did I hire a coach but she held me accountable to be more consistent on social media, blogging my email list and more.


This year my ONE word is “ Implementation”. I learned a lot this year and refuse to be in the info gathering stage so my goal is massive implementation of all that I have learned in order to see massive results.
