Does Work Life Balance Really Exist??

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Welcome to September ‼️

As we end of this quarter and start to embrace the holidays, New Year, family and career obligations, business and goal setting, the question that constantly comes up is “Does Work Life balance truly exist ❓❓”

We all have the same 24 hours in a day. The truth is how much of it are you spending doing what fulfills you.

When you are running 🏃🏽‍♀️ around chasing priorities you:

1. Don’t get much accomplished ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

2. Feel more overwhelmed and  frustrated

  3. Beat up on yourself for not getting things done.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The one thing you should understand is that everything your juggling is important. The problem is, when you juggle too many things what ultimately happens is that you start to drop a ball or two as you keep adding more priorities.

The goal is to stop juggling and start managing your tasks.

No more will your tasks manage you!!

Here are 2 simple steps to managing tasks and achieving a sense of fulfillment.

1. Set priorities and rank them in order of importance.

2. Identify what needs to be done immediately, within the next 7 days and what can wait a bit.⠀⠀

3. Use a calendar to schedule and map out your priorities that need to be accomplished that week and month. Make sure that the times you set are are non-negotiable.⠀⠀

4. Highlight, check-off and celebrate each small win you accomplish. These small wins ultimately leads to big goals and you will feel a sense of accomplishment. ⠀⠀⠀

These steps can help to ensure that you focus on completing the most pertinent tasks, as opposed to placing your time and attention on tasks that can wait.

Prioritize your task list this week and see how much you will get accomplished!

Until Next Time

CAN YOUR BELIEFS DETERMINE WHO YOU BECOME?

If your beliefs are made up of your constant thoughts, then can you think your way to success??

YES!

Your beliefs determine who you become.

If you are constantly thinking about lack, your insecurities or inabilities……

“I am not successful enough”

“I can never make that kind of money”

“I don’t know enough people”

“I can’t speak like her”

” I am not small enough”

Then that is exactly what you will believe and achieve. Doubt and insecurities will always creep in and win your mind and win.

Your beliefs are the key to you achieving your desired success. Highly successful people have been able to accomplish their dreams, excel in their industry and earn millions because of their beliefs.

“Successful people believe: in their ideas, in their determination, in their persistence, in other people and most important in themselves.

Their beliefs inform and inspire their actions — and that’s what makes them successful“.

If your thoughts are preventing you from believing that you can achieve the success you desire then it’s Time to break the cycle!

The Bible says to “take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5) and “As a man thinks, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7)

Try this one simple activity ,challenge each negative belief with a positive thought.

Try these for example;

“I am not successful ………I am a huge success and can accomplish anything”

“I don’t know enough people……. Social media positions me to meet millions of people”.

“I can’t make that type of money……I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.”

Your turn.

Think about some of the doubts and negative thoughts that have been floating through your mind. Write each one down and counteract each one with a positive thought, scripture or affirmation.

It’s time to start thinking your way to success.

Change your thoughts, and change the person you become.

Until next time 💋
