Get Over the Gap from “Knowing” to “Doing”

So what does it mean to be “stuck“? When you’re stuck, you know what to do, you have a plan, you do the marketing, and you have complied with all the requirements. But, remember that there is a gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it.

I talked to hundreds of clients and what I noticed is most of them know what they want to do, but what’s lacking is getting them to do it. Are you in the same situation?

How can you get over the gap from “knowing” to “doing”?

1. Recognize that you have everything that you need, you just need to start. There are tons of resources, there are thousands of books, and there are many people who can help you. Make a decision to get out of being stuck and move forward.
   
   
2. Reach out and get the help and support that you need. Reach out to someone who can push you forward and direct you in the right direction. It’s okay to ask for help. As healthcare professionals, we have been thought that should we should be our own rescue, but you need to forget this “superwoman” nonsense. Ask. For. Help. and move to the next level.
   
   
3. Realign. Why did you begin your journey to entrepreneurship? Why did you get started? Why is it so important to you? You know that you want to be a full-time mom, you know you want to have more freedom and time, you know you want to have unlimited income. Go back and get realigned with the reasons why you started in the first place. Think of the things you want to accomplish in the next six months and do what you can to reach those goals.
   
   
4. Recommit to your goals, yourself, your family, and your future. Recognize where you are, reach out to others for help, get realigned and recommit to your goals, and start doing what you need to do to unstuck.
